On April 3rd, 2025, Osage County EMS celebrated the grand opening of its third station, now housed within the newly built Osage County Law Enforcement Center. Since becoming operational at the end of March, the third station has responded to several calls and drastically reduced response times to the southern and eastern parts of Osage County.

During the event, Road Patrol Corporal Diego Soto was honored with a lifesaving award for his heroic efforts in performing CPR and saving a life during a medical call on February 24, 2025. Osage County EMS employees Byron Florence, Curt Johnson, Owen Wells, and Dillon Filkins, along with volunteer firefighters Lynn Atchison, David Forkenbrock, and Lukis Janssen also received lifesaving awards for their actions.

The new Osage County Law Enforcement Center is now fully operational. The old Sheriff’s office is currently being demolished. Once completed, the groundwork for the new parking lot and curbing will begin, which is the final phase of the project. More information on the Grand Opening of the building will be shared with the public closer to the anticipated completion date of June 2nd, 2025.
